Monthly Themes

Monthly themes are planned by the school, to provide a different environment and learning along with enjoyment to the students of Play Group, Nursery, Lower Kindergarten and Upper Kindergarten.

APRIL	MYSELF	The theme ‘Myself’ is all about teaching the child about himself/herself. Here, we lead the child through a guided discovery of him/herself, towards developing a positive attitude and introducing the value of “Togetherness’.
MAY	COLORS	The theme “Colours” introduces the child to the world of colours. We teach them to recognise and identify the various colours and associate colours with objects.
JUNE	MY FAMILY	The theme “My Family” introduces the child to the family members and his / her relation with them. The child is advised to prepare My Family Photo Album, with the family members who are living with the child.
JULY	SEASONS	In the theme “Seasons” the child is introduced to different seasons. Here, the child learns about the seasonal environment changes and how we adapt to these changes. We introduce lessons that allow kids to explore seasons better with the help of their five senses.
AUGUST	NEIGHBOUR HOOD	In the theme “My Neighbourhood” we teach the child to expand the boundaries of his world and move on to understanding the people around him and his surroundings. We instil a sense of respect and love for the community by encouraging the values of sharing and caring.
SEPTEMBER	SHAPES	Through the theme “Shapes”, we teach the child to understand how the world is made up of different shapes and sizes. The child is introduced to various shapes that form part of his existence.
OCTOBER	ANIMALS	Through the theme “Animals”, we take the kids through an imaginary tour of the animal kingdom. We familiarize kids with a variety of animals, whom they will be able to recognize either visually or by their names.
NOVEMBER	TRANSPORT	Through the theme “Transport”, we introduce kids to a wide range of vehicles and teach them to identify each one individually. Kids will be able to distinguish them on the basis of those that travel on road, air and/or water.
DECEMBER	PLANTS	Through the theme “Plants”, we educate kids about the living things who are an essential part of our environment. For this purpose, we conduct regular nature visits to parks, gardens, nurseries and thus introduce kids to multiple shades of plant life.
JANUARY	FOOD	Through the theme of “Food”, we tantalize the kids' taste buds with a wide variety of flavours. The child will also be introduced to the food pyramid in a fun filled way, along with fruits and vegetables.
FEBRUARY	PEOPLE WHO HELP US	Through the theme “People who help us”, we help children understand how others around their environment help them. Here, the emphasis stays on the physical surroundings and the environment around the child. The theme also throws light on the value of “Dignity of Labour”.
